About

Lancashire, UK resident

( previously: Glastonbury; London; Åre, Sweden; Isle of Man; Brooklyn, N.Y.; Runcorn; Liverpool )

b. 1952, Liverpool, UK

Given: The brain seeks (needs) patterns.

The simple process of using radii to relate two random points creates a vesica, a 'loaded' archaic symbol. That the two 'random' sites instantly acquire a reciprocal / bi-directional symmetry stirred my interest.

Vector imagery (both officially provided and numerically created), prosaic formats and protocols together with text and numerical data all proved necessary.

I am inspired by:

The perspective of Buckminster Fuller re: 'sphere' & 'number' and his use of an alternative vocabulary in his voluminous writings.

Dieter Roth's outlook and practise.
